What is an FS251 certificate?
FS251, also written FS 251 or F.S. 251, is the Certificate of Fire Service Installations and Equipment. It records relevant work performed by a contractor and must reflect the actual circumstances. Obtaining a blank form or sending an enquiry does not complete an inspection or produce a valid certificate.

FSD explains that fire service installations and equipment must be kept in efficient working order and inspected by a registered contractor at least once every 12 months. Review inspection dates, equipment condition and outstanding defects together. An old certificate alone does not establish the current condition of the premises.

We follow up certificate arrangements in line with the actual work and applicable requirements.

What should I prepare before submitting?
Provide a contact name, email, phone, premises address or use, and the help you need. Add any deadline, previous inspection date, equipment quantities or known defects in the description. Mark unknown details as “to be confirmed”; we can follow up after receiving your enquiry. Identity documents and payment details are not needed for an initial submission.
